I'm back from the living dead it would seem... I think :)
So apologies to my blog and anyone who is reading for my disappearing act so soon after starting but as hard as I tried to do more than a few things each day the more my body decided it didn't want to play along, leaving me to have to make more than a few decisions as to which things would take priority, this coming a little further down the list than I could seem to reach but now i'm back, kinda.
I very much doubt that my health issues are going to get any better any time soon and albeit I know that there are going to be times when I cant, Im going to try my darnest to post more frequently than I started.
I have managed to do a little crafting whilst i've been unwell this time round and as I intended my blog as a place to share my creations (along with other random babbling) thats what i'm going to do now...
My little boy, Junior's friend Courtney is celebrating her birthday today and seeing as her party was taking on the theme of todays date I thought this would be a cute idea for a card, I've since been informed by my girls that the pic is 'Frankie' from Monster High or something like that, I try not to pay much attention to the TV when the kids have it on.
The cardstock used were just stuff that I had lying around in my stash, the cobweb in the top corner was drawn on with Stickles, clear gems were placed at the bottom left hand corner to add an extra bit of sparkle and the sentiment was printed onto white card matted on a green offcut from the matt behind 'Frankie' in a font called Halloween Spider that can be downloaded free HERE. I do hope that she likes it.
I'd like to enter this card into the following contests...
The sisterhood of crafters - A halloween challenge
Creative Belli Blog - Challenge 155 (Halloween)
Anything Goes Challenge
Crazy Amigo Challenge - Halloween
Through The Craftroom Door - Challenge 42 Anything goes
Wishing everyone a wicked Hallowe'en and a wonderful evening
Take Care

DeleteYou've done a fab job here Natasha. I hope you find a little gentle crafting is good "therapy" - I know I do!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to "a Card a day Blogging"
Thanks, I do find it a great therapy except when I have an idea in my head and nothing I do seems to be right when its on the card, then I just get stressy and redo the same card about 50 times until I run out of time and its needed like yesterday lol. Nah seriously though its such a wonderful pastime and it always feels even more wonderful when the recipicant likes the end result. Thanks for the warm welcome darl xNx
DeleteGreat card. I hope you life and health allows you time for more crafting. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks hunni, and me too :) xNx
DeleteThat's great card and so fitting for a Halloween birthday. I'd never heard of Monster High until my Grandaughter brought one of the dolls with her.

DeleteApparently my two daughters have got a few of the dolls as well as stationary bits and a couple of other things of Monster High, most of which i've bought them, think I must definitely wander around with my head in the clouds lol xNx

Natasha this if a really fab card. I know what it is like when your illness keeps you away from the crafty desk. Unfortunately it's my business and I have to force myself sometimes. Don't you force yourself, just enjoy your crafting as and when you can and we will all look forward to your next creation.
